Hridaypur Ambedkar Shishu Vikash Kendra (Children Development Center) is a Non Governmental, Non-Political Educational Institute under Hridaypur Ambedkar Mission, a non-government social development organization at Hridaypur, Barasat, Kolkata 700127, West Bengal, India. The institute has been running successfully by the mission by collecting personal, governmental and non-governmental donations from different persons and organizations. Mainly, the children from the backward community and poor families are the main students of the school of the Hridaypur town and its surroundings. The aim of the Hridaypur Ambedkar Mission is to help and educate the backward community in Hridaypur who really have not enough capability to spend money for educational purposes. So, it will be very good and ideal institute to have foreign grant for the educational purpose of the backward community in the region. The details of the particulars of Hridaypur Ambedkar Mission and Hridaypur Ambedkar Shishu Vikash Kendra are given below.

Aims of the Mission
The organization is a non-political and social one serving for social and educational uplift of the backward and poor classes establishing school, library with modern scientific equipments.

History of the Organization and Social Activities
On the occasion of Birth Day Centenary of Dr. B. R. Ambedkar, the maker of Indian Constitution, celebrated all over India in 1990, the local people of Hridaypur belonging to Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribes and Other Backwards Classes determined to constitute a Mission after the name of Baba Shaheb Dr. B. R. Ambedkar to do social activities in the light of his ideal thought. Accordingly, gHridaypur Ambedkar Missionh was formed in the year 1990 aiming social welfare activities. In the year 1991 the Mission established a school- gShishu Vikash Kendrah (Children Development Center) Starting with Nursery to class IV having approximate 220 students of poor and backward classes at present.

Administrative Structure
An Executive Committee at present comprising of 15 members headed by Sri Sukumar Biswas, President and Sri Chitta Ranjan Das as Secretary is functioning.

Name of the School

History of the School
Following the establishment of Hridaypur Ambedkar Mission, the school was started considering non-availability of schooling in the locality for the students belonging to the backward classes.

Structure of the School

Area of Land :
15,000 Sq. ft.

Building :
Actually the school building was planned initially for two storied building measuring 4,734 Sq. ft. of each floor. At the present the ground floor is completed partially measuring 2,150 Sq. ft.

Staff :
Teaching staff – 8 (eight)
Non-teaching staff – 1 (one)

Number of Classes :
At present the number of total Classes is 7 (seven) i.e. from Nursery to Class IV, but it will be increases up to Class VIII soon after completion of the building rooms.

Number of Students :
At present the total number of students is approximately 220, mainly from Backward Community.

Lower classes child and about 110 people

The Mission with its all efforts has been offering utmost services to the distressed humanity specially providing educational and hostel facilities to the Backward Communities. It needs considerable amount of fund to full-fill its various activities. Under these circumstances, financial assistance and effective guidance are highly solicited for achieving the goals.
